"Blankids" Campaign
We are proud to report that during the school year of 2009 - 2010, three hundred and three (303) middle school children participated in our International "Blankids" campaign. This campaign involves American children in making fleece blankets for children living in orphanages worldwide (specifically, children living in orphanages in the country of Georgia). The kids worked very hard and in just 2 months were able to produce 303 beautiful fleece blankets. Once the blankets were delivered to the country of Georgia, we received heart-warming thank-you letters and photographs of Georgian kids holding our blankets and smiling from ear to ear. The letters and photographs were passed along to participating schools. Through these efforts we have made a lot of kids happy, including the ones on the American side.
