Tatiana Zunshine (Executive
Director)
Tatiana was born and raised in the
former Soviet Union. In 1980s, she
became a dissident and human rights
activist. In 1987, after the Soviet
authorities allowed Tatiana and her
family to immigrate to the United
States, she toured extensively all over
the US, promoting human rights, taking
part in dozens of speaking engagements,
and giving numerous interviews to the
media.
After her son Phillip was born in 1990,
Tatiana became interested in the writing
and publishing of children's books. She
has authored two children books, and
published several books of other
authors. While conducting author visits
in local elementary schools, Tatiana
came up with the idea of connecting
American children with underprivileged
children around the world. In 2008 she
founded "Children Helping Children,
Intl" and launched the first partnership
program in Tbilisi, Georgia.
